 I met Kathy Dyer at an open house in Roseville, CA and was immediately impressed by her personality and friendliness. My husband, Shad, and I were ready to start getting serious about buying a house for our family, because we had recently moved to the area from San Diego. Kathy gave me her card and contact information and told me to contact her anytime with any questions that may arise.

 I contacted Kathy and she helped me map out what steps needed to be taken. I told her that Shad and I were both veterans of the United States Marine Corps and that we had heard good things about VA loans. Kathy was quick to thank my husband and me for our service in the military, and did so many other times during our house hunting.

 Kathy put me in contact with a lender to start the pre-qualification process. Soon after that, we started looking at houses. The housing market was not looking good at the time, meaning most houses were either short sales or bank repos smf dince we were 1st time home owners, we did not have a lot of money to put down and had to compete with cash buyers in many cases. Kathy was never too busy to show us houses, however, and was very supportive. She never let us get discouraged.

 Many of the times we went to look at houses, our three daughters had to come with us due to babysitting conflicts. Kathy was always patient with the girls, who by the end of the process grew very fond of her. She even brought them activities to play with during our house hunts. Her eagerness to work with not only Shad and me, but our children as well, showed us that she was not only a great real estate agent, but a good person as well.

 We put in numerous offers, sometimes three in one day. Kathy was always very quick to type up the paperwork and email it to us to sign. She always submitted our offers in a timely manner and kept us updated. Finally, we had an offer accepted on a house. Kathy was right there to set up all of the details and even entertained our children while we signed the final paperwork. Kathy’s loyalty to our family was truly phenomenal. Her respect for military veterans was an added bonus. Kathy is truly a patriotic woman and was a joy to be around throughout the entire process. Her personality really helped us through some discouraging times.

 Another great thing about working with Kathy was her partner, Christine Sturgis. There were times when Kathy had another commitment and could not show us around, but she would call Christine and she would take us to look. They have a great partnership and there was always someone around to address our needs.

 In the end, I can honestly say our dealings with Kathy were successful, and I would undoubtedly recommend her services to other house hunters, especially military veterans. Kathy has kept in touch with us since we moved. It is nice to know that we were not treated just as clients, but also as friends.
